The 8th World Hotel Forum Qiongzhou Strait Summit was held on 18th December of 2015 in Haikou and President Li Yong was invited to attend as the Co-chairman of World Hotel Association. Over 200 Chinese and foreign hotel industry elites, managers, experts and scholars attended and widely discussed and exchanged in depth on the topic of the New Way for the Hotel Industry.

The summit is specially supported by World Tourism Organization of the United Nations, the China National Tourism Administration, Haikou Municipal Government, China Tourist Hotel Industry Association, China Tourism Research Institute, Tourism research center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and School of Hotel Management of Beijing International Studies University; and jointly sponsored by the World Hotel Association, tourism satellite TV and the American Asia Society.

President Li Yong delivered the welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony; he analyzed the problems in the development of the hotel industry in the world over the year, put forward the solution to the problems and made the forecast to the future of the world hotel industry development.

During the summit, President Li Yong also attended 2015 Continental Diamond Award Year-end Presentation Ceremony. All the delegates gathered to celebrate the new year of 2016. Excellent Chinese and foreign enterprises of the hotel industry and the outstanding individual won the Continental Diamond Award.
