On the morning of April 8, 2019, the 13th China Henan International Investment and Trade Fair with the theme of “Open Cooperation, Brilliant Central China”, which was sponsored by the People’s Government of Henan Province, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries jointly, was grandly opened at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. President Li Yong, as Vice Chairman of China International Economic and Technical Cooperation Promotion Association, together with Council President Yang Chunguang and more than 130 entrepreneur representatives from the National Association for the Promotion of the Republic of China were invited to participate in this trade fair.

The Secretary of Henan Provincial Party Committee Wang Guosheng, the Governor Chen Runer, the Chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference Liu Wei, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Yu Hongqiu, the Member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Commerce and Minister Assistant Li Chenggang, the Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade LuPengqi, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Vice President Hu Sishe and other leaders and guests attended the openingceremony. The Secretary Wang Guosheng announced the opening of the 13th China Henan International Investment and Trade Fair. Nearly 20,000 merchantsand guests from all over the world gathered in the Henan Province to share business opportunities and seek common development. President Li Yong accompanied Council President Yang Chunguang to attend the opening ceremony andinspected the pavilion.

On April 9, Council President Yang Chunguang and Vice President Li Yong led the delegation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to Xinxiang City, investigated and had a conference in terms ofindustrial development, technological innovation, urban construction and 5G bigdata applications in Xinxiang, further deepened mutual understanding and promoted consensus, with a view to achieving pragmatic cooperation in variousfields. The Mayor of Xinxiang City Wang Dengxi, the Deputy Mayor Li Yueyong,Deputy Mayor Yang Junjie and Wang Tianxing, the Member of the Municipal Party Group Dou Jie, the ViceChairman of the CPPCC and Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce ZhouYong, and the Secretary General of the Municipal Government Liu Yong, attended the conference.

On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government,Mayor Wang Dengxi extended a warm welcome to Council President Yang Chunguang,Vice President Li Yong and the delegation. He also introduced relevant situation of Xinxiang City. Mayor Wang Dengxi said that Xinxiang City insistedon leading the high-quality development under the high-quality party building work,and was striving to build the “six major systems”, including modern innovation,modern industry, modern town, ecological civilization, basic capacity supportand public service, and striving to make a contribution to built a better CentralChina and write a chapter of Xinxiang. He also hoped that entrepreneurs and friends of the delegation could give opinions, advices and suggestions on the work in Xinxiang, also hoped that entrepreneurs and friends could invest in Xinxiang,and seek common development and common prosperity.

Council President Yang Chunguang, Vice President Li Yong and representatives of entrepreneurs from the delegation unanimously stated that the trip to Xinxiang was a journey of learning and seeking for cooperation.
